L'université de ManitobaL'université de Manitoba est la province plus grande, la plus complète et seulement établissement éducatif post-secondaire recherche-intensif. C'est la première université du Canada occidental et a été fondé en 1877. En année typique, l'université a une inscription de 24.542 étudiants d'étudiant préparant une licence et de 3.021 étudiants gradués. L'université offre 82 degrés, 51 au niveau d'étudiant préparant une licence. La plupart des unités d'universitaire offrent des programmes gradués d'études menant au maître ou aux degrés doctoraux. En 2004-05, l'université a acquis plus de $110.9 millions dans le revenu de recherches.
L'université tient actuellement 33 chaises de recherches du Canada, est le chef de réseau d'une de 21 réseaux du Canada d'excellence (IS-IS Canada) et d'un participant à 14 autres. Elle est également à la maison à un éventail de centres et d'instituts de recherches. Dans la décennie passée, Smartpark a été établi avec l'aide des gouvernements provinciaux et nationaux et mûrit comme environnement où les collaborations entre l'université et l'industrie augmentent la commercialisation de nouvelles technologies. A scholarship is a gift of money awarded to a student on the basis of academic achievement, requiring that the student subsequently register for study at the University.
Thompson Rivers Université
Nowhere in Canada has the evolution of post-secondary education been more dramatic than in Kamloops, BC.
